MANAGEMENT OF SNAKE BITES IN NEW TOWN
To combat snake bite in New Town the following information is hereby provided :
- Preliminary treatment will be available in the Urban Primary Health
- Centres at Akankha More and near NBC (Urban Primary Health Centre 1 & 2) and Urban Health & Wellness Centre at Mela Ground on all days except Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. There are stocked with AVS, saline & other medicines and will be administered by Doctors & trained nurses as per Health Department guidelines.
- As per medical requirement, if needed, the patient may be referred to Bidhannagar Sub-Divisional Hospital or R.G.Kar State General Hospital.
- Ambulance Service will be available round the clock free of cost. (Contact: 9932864112)
- NKDA will be sprinkling Carbolic acid in the vulnerable area to minimise the problem. (Contact: 9932864112)
- Apart from the above, jungle cutting in vulnerable area has already been undertaken. (Contact: 9433424929)
